Percent for Art

Last year the Oregon Arts Commission approached me to create a logo for the anniversary of their Art in Public Places Program’s 50th anniversary. Working together this evolved from creating a logo to designing a mascot that could represent the program. What I proposed was making a series of mascots inspired by the shapes in the Oregon Arts Commission logo. Each hexagon in the logo represent the seven regional landscapes so in effect this created 7 mascots, one for each region of the state. In partnership with Travel Oregon and the Public Art Archive.
