1891, a Sketch Club was founded by several Portland men and women, which led to the eventual formation of what is now the Portland Art Museum.
1924, a Masonic Temple was built next door to the current home of the Museum. For over 60 years, this Temple was a place of Masonic rituals and events until its purchase by the Museum in the 1990s.
2014, in an attempt to highlight and meld these interesting historical aspects, a secret society Sketch Club will perform free drawing rituals for those selected.

Members of the Free Association include:
Ryan Bubnis, Jason Sturgill, Kate Bingaman-Burt, Amy Ruppel, Jenny Tiffany, Sarah Hollowood, Holly Stout, Evan B. Harris, Brad Simon, Lori D., Adam Bayer
