the wurst gallery

The wurst gallery is an online art gallery that I started in 2003 while working at Wieden + Kennedy. At the time there was little in the way of art online and I was really interested in making art accessible by curating conceptual group shows that were really approachable. 

What started out as a small side project working with a small group of friends and artists whose work I admired, grew into a large side project that attracted submissions from artists around the world along with exhibiting the work at the Ace Hotel and Design Within Reach.

The last wurst show happened in 2007 while I was working for Nike SB and featured over 150 artists representing nearly 15 different countries and was a benefit for the Dove Lewis Animal Hospital.
